Yeah for Snow!!!


What a beautiful delight! We have a 3-4 inch white blanket outside. It is quiet, bright, and not warm at all. I guess this is why my head has been screaming for the past 2 days. The snow was on it's way!!!!!!!!!!!

It's kind of funny that when it was snowing there it was 80 degrees here...

I haven't decided which recipes I want to give you. They're coming!

Nope. I don't. So here it goes.
Asian Grilled Chicken Breasts

1/4 c. olive oil
1Tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1Tbsp minced garlic
1Tbsp Dijon Mustard
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper
6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

1.Mix all the ingredients together and brush on the chicken breasts. Refrigerate for at least 30 min or overnight.
2.Preheat grill.
3.Grill the breasts for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness.

Broccoli Cole Slaw

1 bag(16 oz) broccoli cole slaw
1bag(3oz) Top Ramen (Oriental flavor)
1 c. olive oil
6Tbsp sugar
6Tbsp vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. chopped onions may also be added

Place shredded broccoli into bowl with onions. Crush oriental noodles and add to salad. Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper, and flavor packet(from soup mix).

Right before serving pour dressing over salad and toss to coat.

One more! We love soups.

Spicy Lentil Soup

1/2 lb italian sausage
1 med onion chopped
3 cloves garlic
1/3 c. barley
8 c. chicken broth (add one extra cup)
1/2 c. dried parsley
2 chicken breasts
1 c. lentils
1 12oz jar med. salsa
1 can garbonzo beans(drained)

Brown sausage. Remove from pot and leave sausage grease in pot. Brown onion, garlic, and barley. Add broth, parsley, chicken(uncooked), lentils, and salsa. Simmer 30 minutes. Remove chicken breasts. Cool slightly and shred. Return to soup. add garbonzo beans and sausage. Simmer to blend.
